Vaughan is a city within the region of York, located north of Toronto and south of King and Richmond Hill. Vaughan was named after Benjamin Vaughan, a British commissioner who signed a peace treaty with the United States in 1783.

Today, Vaughan has over 323,281 residents, making it the fifth-largest city in the Greater Toronto Area, and the 17th-largest city in Canada. According to Statistics Canada, Vaughan achieved a growth rate of 80.2%, making it the fastest-growing municipality in Canada between 1996 and 2006.

Along with having excellent transportation corridors, it also has very competitive commercial and industrial tax rates as well. Vaughan attracts many new residents with its large manufacturing and industrial base.
